MACED began its first wellness program, Get Healthy MACED, in April 2012. Nearly 70 percent of staff signed up to participate in the first trimester. Employees are encouraged to exercise for at least 20 minutes a day, six days a week.
The Get Healthy MACED bulletin board in the work room provides wellness tips and keeps staff up to date about upcoming fitness events.
MACED staff members enjoy a walk during their morning break. We recognize that employees are more likely to stick to work out routines by sticking together. MACED staff members who exercise together earn buddy points and a chance to win a traveling trophy.
