Chris Woolery joined MACED’s Energy Team in 2011 as a Residential Energy Specialist, and became the Residential Energy Coordinator in 2015. MACED’s residential energy program, How$martKY™, partners with rural electric cooperatives to design, finance, and install home energy efficiency upgrades that are paid for directly out of energy savings. Prior to joining MACED, Chris was an ENERGY STAR® builder and energy services contractor for nearly two decades, pioneering efficient construction and remodeling. Throughout his career, Chris has helped deliver residential energy efficiency upgrades to over 800 households. Over the years, MACED’s energy work has responded to changes in the energy landscape in Eastern Kentucky, and Chris has worked to do the same. Recently, he has worked to develop MACED’s New Energy Internship program and assist with MACED’s commercial energy program, helping to deliver clean energy solutions to businesses, non-profits, and local governments. He also recently completed Building Operator Certification training.
When he is not being an energy nerd, Chris enjoys spending time with family and hiking in Kentucky’s beautiful natural spaces.
